Ascot kicked off with a bang yesterday and a grand entrance by the Royal Family! For you fellow Ladies of London who are attending Ascot this week, there is still time to perfect your look.
For any American Ladies, if this is your first time, there are some things to know. First off, just like the Royal Wedding, hats are total must. I suggest basing your entire outfit around your hat, since most of them are such statement pieces. If you’re lucky enough to have a Royal Enclosure badge, then fascinators are OUT, and your hat must cover at least four inches in diameter, according to the official dress code.
Even if you’re not drinking champagne with the ladies in Car Park One, you should dress like you’re going to be invited there, so wear a dress with an appropriate hemline. Finally, just like polo, it’s important to wear your wedges, as sinking in the grass in stilettos is not ideal.
