Every girl needs a few essentials for a summer in the city. A great pair of white shorts is key, and you can pair them with a number of different tops, whether its a simple tank for the park, or a more structured top like this Bibhu Mohapatra (I also LOVE this similar one from J.Crew), white shorts can look both casual and sophisticated. I love these Jbrand ones, but there is also a great pair by TopShop, Rag & Bone, and if you like them a bit longer, this Current Elliot pair is perfect.
Secondly, you need a great pair of gladiator sandals. You’ll find that you wear them with shorts, skirts, and dresses so picking the right pair is key. The ones I have are Temperley and there are some wonderful ones by Ancient Greek Sandals as well.
Third, a chic carry-all tote is a must. This white Goyard tote has come all over London with me, to the supermarket, play-dates, and is also a great travel bag. This Givenchy one is also super chic, and JCrew has a great metallic version on sale now.
Finally, great sunglasses are obviously a necessity. If you’ve been reading the blog, you know I have a small obsession with Theierry Lasry, and everyone who tries on mine ends up going out and getting their own. They have a great selection of different colors and tints, and should be your go-to for sunnies this summer!
