Known for her digital prints, this collection was a departure from what we’ve taken notice of Mary Katrantzou before. This AW14 collection encompassed badges, patches and pins of all sorts layered upon gorgeous lace creating a military uniform of her own. To me this collection was perfection, I definitely wanted in on this brigade.
I was a brownie and Girl Scout when I was little and loved collecting all the patches on my sash for completed tasks. I also used to gather different things from all my travels and loved making inspiration collages (and mixtapes Salt n Pepa, Madonna, Journey, Pearl Jam, TLC).
This dress felt like second skin to me, every bit that could be too much was….. just right.
