There’s nothing like the golden hour of the afternoon overlooking The Palace of Westminster. London may be home, but I’ll never get over the magical feeling it brings with all of its history, I’m often pinching myself that I get to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Living in London, there is never a lack of formal events to get dressed up for, most recently I attended the Serpentine Summer Party hosted by Chanel where I wore a sequin robe dress by Attico.  With long evening dresses, when I find one that is special and fits well, I will buy it immediately and make it work one of my upcoming black tie events.  It is not easy to find a great gown, so I never wait to the last minute of an event to buy one, I prefer to have one or two brilliant ones there waiting to be worn.  As is the case, with this pratically perfect in every single way dress, by a newly launched brand, The Vampire’s Wife.  I love finding emerging designers that have a different spunk which catches your eye with drama yet are incredibly easy to wear year after year.  I discovered The Vampire’s Wife this summer while browsing on Matchesfashion.com, which along with Moda Operandi, continues to be my go-to destination for brands that will soon be on everyone’s radar.

I’ve always been drawn to old-world glamour so when I found this victorian style dress, gleaming with gold fil-coupé florals, I knew it had my name written all over it. I always find a contoured sliming silhouette with a demure neck line even more striking than a plunging front or back. Timeless styles that emphasis my waist make me feel confident and sexy and for me, that’s what evening wear is all about.

This signature dress from The Vampire’s Wife Pre-AW17 collection also comes in different colours stunning lame colors herehere and here, as well as shorter styles for the ideal dinner party here and here.  And, while this maybe my first The Vampire’s Wife piece, I know it won’t be my last as I love the material and print of this dress so much that I’m convincing myself I just may need the short version in another color, too! Decisions. Decisions. A new star has been born and shines in my closet, welcome to the world The Vampire’s Wife.
