Double denim was once a fashion no-no, selected only by cowboys as a uniform. Today’s conclusion: cowboys are cool and so is double denim, heck even triple denim. I was in the market for a new jean jacket, as for over a decade, I have been wearing a Helmut Lang which now has holes in the elbows. Clearly, a good jean jacket goes a long way, so I wanted to make sure I bought new one that could also become a golden oldie.
LuisaViaRoma.com is where I go when I want something cool and a special piece that not everybody is going to have. And, that’s where I found this Marques’ Almeida fitted, frayed and fabulous new denim jacket, which I bought in a size small. The style is perfect for summer and also comes in black denim. I have worn this jean jacket with dresses, to make a demure look more edgy, and here I wore it casual, with Frame Denim jeans and sporty slides. When I was in high school, I wore striped Adidas slides all summer long and twenty years later, I’m thrilled to see the trend pop-up for similar designer slides from Chanel and Givenchy.
While on the LVR site, I always check-out their Gucci edit, which is where, I also found this Gucci feline choker of dreams. It looks great with a plain t-shirt or an ice cream Karl Lagerfeld tank, currently calling my name.
