SPLURGE VS STEAL

A lot of you guys requested more affordable fashion from my DMS and looks for less. Here are some things I have in my wardrobe that I love and more affordable variations with options on both ends of the spectrum.

BLACK KHAITE DRESS

This is definitely one of the ‘it’ items this year. I wore mine in THIS post. If you go for Khaite classic you’re looking at an investment price tag upwards of $1,100. This Mango look-alike is under $70

LEOPARD PUFFER COAT

I’ve been living in my Leopard Varley coat for walks in the park/ trips to Soul Cycle (back when they were still open.) Unfortunately my exact jacket is soldout online, but I’ve found two look-alikes on both ends of the price spectrum — An investment for $500+ and a look alike under $80

FAUX FUR COAT

Let the animals live! I always advise getting a great faux coat for the winter. The TopShop dupe looks identical to Stand Studio’s cult classic faux fur coat.

NANUSHKA SWEATER DRESS

In addition to Khaite, Nanushka is another ‘it’ brand at the moment. The brand favorite sweater dress is upwards of $400, while this look-alike version is under $80. For me this is one of those pieces that I’d personally so for the splurge.

PARIS TEXAS BOOTS

Paris Texas has been all the rage. I have several pairs that I started wearing 5+ fashion weeks ago. This Mango look-alike is super similar for less if you aren’t wanting to spend $500+.

BLACK SHORT PUFFER COAT

A puffer is always great on the run. To the gym, school pickup, life at home for a sporty look with warmth. I still love a good GAP find. This puffer has a super sleek fit for under $150 while a great investment puffer can take you upwards of $2,500.

ISABEL MARANT KNIT

Another piece I got loads of DMs on was this Isabel Marant look-alike knit. The original is over $1000 while my exact sweater is under $100 and you get the same bold sleeve, chic effect.

FRANKIE SHOP TANK

This tank has been another big trending piece. I love my $75 Frankie shop padded shoulder style but if you’re after something for less, you can get the same look for under $25 from Mango

BOTTEGA VENETTA GOLD CHAIN EARRINGS

Not just Bottega but most big brands are doing a version of chunky gold-linked jewellery. You guys know I love my Jenny Bird pieces to wear everyday. I honestly think it’s made just as well and you get the same idea for $625 vs $115

BOTTEGA VENETTA BLACK BOOTS

Another big trending Bottega Item are these sold out leather over the knee boots. If you missed the mark or can’t find these in your size, I’ve found almost exactly the same style under $100.

DENIM JUMPSUIT

I’m a big fan of an easy throw on denim jumpsuit. I have and love this Citizen’s of Humanity button up style but if you’re looking for an alternative under $60 this style is super cool. Just cuff the hems and roll up the sleeves for the same look.

LONG BLACK PUFFER COAT

In addition to a short puffer, a long puffer is a key wardrobe staple for the winter months. Usually you pay for warmth when investing in nicer brands but this under $200 is something I would definitely buy myself if you’re after an alternative style with flattering fit.

SHEARLING LINED LEATHER COAT

I love this style of coat. This splurge option is sold out everywhere, but this TOP SHOP style is still cool for only $100.

WINTER WHITE COAT

I’ve been wearing Popski for years. They have the best faux fur. This TOP SHOP coat is a similar winter white style. Both pretty options to have for a few years.

MOM JEANS

Denim is hard because it’s so personal. I love Agolde, ReDone, and Citizen’s but if you’re looking for less TOP SHOP has some good mom jeans in regular and petite sizes.
